程一峰是国内较少有的,一直专注于抽象雕塑创作的艺术家,

他专注于抽象雕塑主要来自两个原因:

首先是不愿意受到客观事物固有原型的限制,受恩师王培波先生的影响与启发,在创作中艺术家产生了对形态与空间自由表现的追求,这种追求比较适合抽象雕塑创作;

Cheng Yifeng

2004  Bachelor’s Degree, Department of Fine Arts, Russian State Pedagogical University 2006  Master’s Degree, Department of Fine Arts, Russian State Pedagogical University

Currently a sculpture faculty member at the School of Fine Arts and Design, Guangzhou University; Executive President of Guangzhou Sculpture Society.

Cheng Yifeng is one of the few Chinese artists who has long dedicated himself to abstract‑sculpture creation.

His devotion to abstract sculpture stems from two factors.

First, he resists constraints imposed by inherent prototypes of objective objects. Inspired by his mentor Mr. Wang Peibo, he pursues the free expression of form and space in his practice, an aspiration well‑suited to abstract sculpture.

Second, he disagrees with the narrative function of sculpture. From his perspective, using sculpture for narration and propaganda is not an optimal choice in the contemporary context.

Accordingly, he draws inspiration from microscopic natural elements for free artistic expression. His works explore the intrinsic spiritual bond between urban dwellers distanced from nature and the natural world.
