Lacquer as Soil, Evolving Time & Space
孙文佳，1986 年生于福建，深耕大漆创作多年，持续拓宽漆艺术边界，作品覆盖二维半、立体雕塑、空间装置与行为艺术，多次参展巴黎、布鲁塞尔、巴塞罗那等海内外艺术博览会与美术馆个展。
Born in Fujian, China in 1986, Sun Wenjia devotes himself to Chinese lacquer art and continuously expands its creative boundaries. His creations span 2.5D works, three-dimensional sculptures, space installations and performance art, and he has exhibited widely at galleries and art fairs in Paris, Brussels, Barcelona and other cities worldwide.

他独以天然大漆为核心媒介，融合 3D 打印、化石、树脂等综合材料，形成极简抽象的当代雕塑语言，兼具东方漆艺温润内敛的神秘质感。代表作《物演》《衍化》系列立足地质化石与人类文明双重时间维度，反思后人类时代的人与自然关系，消解人类中心主义；作品以 “时间胶囊” 为内核，借大漆封存、留存的特性定格文明印记，造型柔和仿生，模糊人造与自然的边界，为传统漆艺开辟当代观念表达路径。

Taking raw natural lacquer as his core medium, he combines it with composite materials including 3D printing works, fossils and resin, forming a minimalist abstract sculptural style infused with the oriental subtle mystery of lacquer. His representative series Evolution and Derivation are built on dual time dimensions of geological fossils and human civilization.

The artworks reflect on human-nature relations in the post-human era and de-centre anthropocentrism. Rooted in the concept of "time capsule", his works leverage lacquer’s natural preservative property to preserve marks of civilization. With soft, quasi-biological forms blurring the line between artificiality and nature, he pioneers a brand-new conceptual expression for traditional Chinese lacquer art.
