布兰恩・马克法兰为牙买加籍艺术家，现定居美国波士顿。作为马萨诸塞大学达特茅斯分校绘画与素描荣誉教授，他同时任职东北大学非裔美国艺术大师驻留项目与塞西尔・库珀基金会董事会，数十年深耕艺术教育，拥有扎实的学术与创作积淀。

本次展览展出其 12 件亚麻布油画代表作，包含融入中国与丝路文化的《狮子的诞生》《丝绸之路沿途美景》，“重新思考海洋” 系列《奋斗的章鱼》，以及 2025 年新作《诗意紫色复式空间》《金色上升》。作品打通地域、文化与学科边界，实现科学与艺术交融，带领观众感受作品内在的深度与张力。

Brian McFarlane is a Jamaican‑born artist based in Boston, USA. He is Honorary Professor of Painting and Drawing at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, a member of AAMARP at Northeastern University and board member of the Cecil Cooper Foundation, with decades of experience in art education.

This exhibition features 12 representative oil paintings on linen, including Birth of the Lion, Scenery Along the Silk Road with Chinese and Silk‑Road elements, Struggling Octopus from the “Rethinking the Ocean” series, and his 2025 new works Poetic Purple Duplex Space and Golden Ascent. Crossing geographic, cultural and disciplinary lines, these works blend science and art for audiences to appreciate the depth and tension of his practice.
